Position: Game Development Manager

Location: Isle of Man

Level: Management

Reporting to: Senior management

SOC 2010 classification: 2133 IT specialist managers

Preferred Start date: 1 July 2017

Indication Salary: £26,500 to £40,300 dependent on experience performance-related pay rises may occur thereafter.

Requirements:

  • Plan, coordinate and manage IT services within the company;
  • Discuss IT requirements and IT development with users, senior management, and internal/external customers;
  • Manage IT services, including provision of user support, network operations and maintenance;
  • Provide professional development in relation to quality of service control;
  • Supervise the technical team and conduct necessary training;
  • Plan and monitor the work carried out by the team to ensure a given level of service achieved;
  • Develop and implement design specifications to guide and promote IT design and the company’s business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant subject
    At least four years’ relevant work experience, including good coding practice, of which at least two years must have been at managerial level. Must be familiar with project management and have hands-on experience.
  • Competencies in an object-oriented analysis, design and development capabilities (OOA, OOD, OOP). Familiar with Rational Rose, PowerDesigner and other tools for design and development;
  • Proficient in at least two of the following: PHP, Java, C #, Golang, Python, JavaScript, C \ C ++, Android, iOS;
  • Proficiency in databases such as MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server and other development; and
  • Must have a knowledge of a variety of computer systems, networking, network security, application system architecture.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; in respect of applicants who are not citizens of a majority English-speaking country, English language (speaking, listening, reading and writing) must be certified to at least CEFR level B1; and
  • Fluent in the Mandarin dialect and able to read Chinese fluently.
