Position: Software Developer
Location: Isle of Man
Level: Development team

SOC 2010 classification: 2136 Programmers and software development professionals
Preferred Start date: 31st of July 2017
Indication Salary: GBP24,000 to GBP32,000 dependent on experience performance-related pay rises may occur thereafter
Responsibilities
examines existing software and determines requirements for new/modified systems in the light of business needs;
undertakes feasibility study to design software solutions;
writes and codes individual programs according to specifications;
develops user interfaces;
tests and corrects software programs;
writes code for specialist programming for computer games, (for example, artificial intelligence, 3D engine development);
implements and evaluates the software;
plans and maintains database structures;
writes operational documentation and provides subsequent support and training for users.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant experience
At least three years’ relevant work experience, including good coding practice.
• Proficiency in at least two of the following: PHP, Java, C#, Golang, Python, JavaScript, C/C++, Android, iOS;
• Skilful in applying HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and other front-end technology
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; in respect of applicants who are not citizens of a majority English-speaking country, English language (speaking, listening, reading and writing) must be certified to at least CEFR level B1; and
• Fluent in the Mandarin dialect and able to read Chinese fluently.
