Position: Website Designer (two vacancies)
Location: Isle of Man
Level: Development team
Reporting to: Management
SOC 2010 classification 2137 Web design and development professionals
Preferred Start date: 1 July 2017
Indication Salary: GBP20,800 to GBP23,400 dependent on experience performance-related pay rises may occur thereafter
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
Liaise with site-related, internal/external customer contacts;
Propose and discuss site designs with customers;
Design web pages, including graphics, animation, and functions to maximise efficiency, and facilitate appropriate and visual accessibility;
Prepare and publish web content; and
Test the interaction and performance of websites before going “live”, and monitor and maintain the functionality of websites.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Visual Communication or a relevant subject; or equivalent graphic design experience.
Experience
At least two years’ relevant work experience, including experience of Internet banking and game interface design.
Competencies
Proficiency in designing workflows and familiarity with mainstream design software tools; and
Enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
Communication
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; in respect of applicants who are not citizens of a majority English-speaking country, English language (speaking, listening, reading and writing) must be certified to at least CEFR level B1; and
Fluent in the Mandarin dialect and able to read Chinese fluently.
